Glover’s Atoll Resort is an Island Lodge on Northeast Caye, Glovers Reef, Belize. Central America.
We started as one of Belize’s first dive resorts in the 1960’s and have enjoyed the beauty of this unique place ever since!
Operating as a family business for now three generations the island is our home.
We offer access to a private 10+ acre island on Glover’s Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage site, left in its natural habitat, white sandy beaches, stunning corals, diverse marine wildlife, excellent diving, kayaking, fishing and most importantly a chance to take a break from modern life.
Glover’s Reef was named after the pirate brothers Glover in the 1750s, and before them the Maya explored the reef as pieces of mayan pottery have been found on the islands. We are located 45 miles off the mainland,
The surrounding atoll Is 90 square miles (145km), has 600+ patch reefs and its surrounded by 50 miles (80km) of sheer drop-off, which start at 25 feet and drop straight down to 2,700 feet (900meters). Glover’s Reef is where the North American plate meets the Caribbean plate making a trench that runs all the way to the Cayman Islands where it is 14,000 feet deep (4,242 meters), known as the Bartlett Trough and offers amazing diving and snorkelling.
Come enjoy a Robinson Crusoe way of life, open a coconut, explore the reef, go birdwatching, snorkel right from the beach, come dive in crystal blue waters, enjoy a book in a hammock with a view.
We have options for all budgets and all are welcome to come!
